Dasar Kualiti Jabatan Laut

The Marine Department are determine to develop and implement systems pertaining to Safety of Navigation, Safety of Ships, Management of Seafarers, Port Facility Security and Conduct of Maritime Training in our effort to provide quality and satisfactory services to our clients which comply to international standards and national laws.

Quality Objectives

In implementing the quality policy, MMD emphasises meeting the expectations of all stakeholders and ensuring continuous improvement in the effectiveness of the Malaysia Marine Department's quality management system. MMD has set quality objectives that are relevant to the scope of implementation of MS ISO 9001:2015. These objectives are set and discussed annually at the Management Review Meeting.

Maritime Industrial Control Division BKIM

To conduct at least 6 certificate of competency examinations a year for each grade.
To verify the eligibility to sit for the examination within 1 week from the date the application is received.
To issue certificate of competency within fourteen working days from the date of receipt of application.
To issue certificate of recognition within a day from the date of receipt of application.

Ship Registry Division BPK

Memproses dan mengeluarkan Sijil Pendaftaran Kapal dalam tempoh 3 working days after the complete application is received.

Maritime Operation Division BOM

Memastikan kerja-kerja ukur hidrografi dijalankan 100% menepati perancangan yang ditetapkan mengikut jadual survei tahunan dalam tempoh setahun.
Memastikan kesiapsiagaan fleet Jabatan sentiasa berada pada tahap ketersediaan 75%.

Traffic Management and Aids to Navigation System BPTBP

Memastikan keberkesanan alat bantuan pelayaran iaitu “availability/reliability” mencapai tahap mengikut panduan International Association of Lighthouse Authorities (IALA) seperti yang dinyatakan di bawah ini:

Kategori 1 – Rumah api. Ketersediaan sekurang-kurangnya 99%.
Kategori 2 – Tandarah suar. Ketersediaan sekurang-kurangnya 98%.
Kategori 3 – Pelampung pandu berlampu. Ketersediaan sekurang-kurangnya 97%.

Management Services Division BKP

Payment management is made within 14 working days.
Achieved 85% customer satisfaction level.
Take action on complaints within the period 14 working days.
The external provider's performance evaluation reached level three (3) (satisfactory) and above.
Each stock must be recorded within two (2) weeks from the date of confirmation of receipt.
Pendaftaran/penyelenggaraan kata laluan dilaksanakan dalam tempoh masa dua (2) hari after the complete application is received.

Maritime Transport Training Institute Maritime Transport Training Institute (MATRAIN)

Courses Handling

To conduct at least 80% of the scheduled courses.
Mendapatkan skor purata penilaian:

Not less than 7.5 from the scale of 1 to 10 for the performance average score in carrying out courses.
Not less than 7.5 from the scale of 1 to 10 for the performance average score in food and drink preparation.
Not less than 7.5 from the scale of 1 to 10 for the performance average score in hostel arrangement.
Not less than 7.5 from the scale of 1 to 10 for the performance average score in training accessibility.
Not less than 7.5 from the scale of 1 to 10 for the performance average score in courses instructor.
