The Malaysia Marine Department wishes to inform that Deepavali falls on Sunday, 8 November 2026, and is a public holiday in all states except Sarawak.
Accordingly, Monday, 9 November 2026 is a replacement public holiday in states where the weekend falls on Saturday and Sunday. Malaysia Marine Department offices in these states, including the Marine Headquarters in Port Klang, will be closed on that date and will resume operations on Tuesday, 10 November 2026.
In Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu, offices will be closed on Sunday, 8 November 2026. Offices in Sarawak will operate as usual.
